Lifelong brain health with a whole person approach.
Cognitive decline is not a normal part of aging.
The loss of cognitive ability and physial function is not inevitable as you age. In fact, these are preventable for most people. Even if brain health has begun to decline, appropriate care can stop it from worsening, and in some cases, restore previous ability.
Mindful exists to help you achieve and maintain lifelong brain health.
FAQs

Our doctors and nurses are dementia prevention and cognitive care specialists. We perform cognitive screenings to identify risks for (or current) cognitive impairment. Then we work with you to create a personalized prevention plan, or to diagnose and treat the causes of cognitive change.

Mindful is a participating primary care provider with Medicare, Pennsylvania Medicaid, and many commercial health plans. You can see our most up-to-date list of participating health insurance plans or call to check if we are participating in your plan.
However, even when we take your insurance, please be aware that we may be out-of-network and we may suggest treatments or therapies that are not covered by your particular insurance plan. We will make every effort to let you know if we believe any of our suggested treatments will not be covered.
We also offer cash pay options for those who are uninsured, or who prefer to receive treatment outside of their health insurance plan.

We offer telehealth and telephone appointments for existing patients. However, we see all new patients at our office in Danville, Pennsylvania.

In many ways, Mindful is a typical doctor’s office with a team of doctors, nurses, and support staff. But we’re also different.
Mindful believes in high quality, personalized care. Our intake visits typically last 90-120 minutes. For patients in our care, our treatment plans often involve phone calls and contact with our nursing staff several times a month. We don’t replace your primary care doctor or other specialists you may be seeing, but we work closely with them. We also utilize integrative approaches to treat the whole person, not just conventional medicine to manage a disease.

Our intake appointments are like a "normal" doctor's office visit, but with a much bigger focus on your overall health and cognitive function. You can expect us to:
Measure your weight, height, and vital signs
Administer neuropsychological testing. The most basic testing takes about 15 minutes, but we can add on additional testing if we need to dig deeper into any area of your cognitive function
Take a complete health history and review your medications and supplements
Perform a physical exam
Review the results of your testing and what it means for your current and projected cogntive function
Make a plan for the next steps in your brain health journey

Integrative medicine is an approach to healthcare that includes practices that are not traditionally part of Western or conventional medicine, such as meditation, wellness coaching, acupuncture, massage, movement, resiliency, and nutrition. It’s based in our belief that health and wellbeing is more than just a physical state - it includes your mental, emotional, and spiritual state as well. Many integrative therapies are safe and effective and can be used in conjunction with conventional medicine to help you achieve wellbeing.
